The globe is getting warmer. Recorded data proves it.
However, how quickly is the temperature increasing? Do we need to be concerned?
According to NASA, the rate of global warming is, indeed, a problem.
Newly-published data shows that the average global surface temperature in February was 1.35 degrees Celsius hotter than the average temperature for the month between 1951 and 1980.
Apparently, this is a huge increase. The previous record, set just one month before in January, was 1.15 degrees Celsius higher than the long-term average for that month.
That’s a .21 degree Celsius increase in just one month.
Scientists are uncomfortable at best, and panicked at worst.
“We are in kind of a climate emergency now,” said Professor Stefan Rahmstorf of the Potsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research in Germany. “This is really quite stunning…it’s completely unprecedented.”
Last year, during the UN’s climate summit in Paris, the group accepted that global warming was inevitable. However, it set the goal not to exceed a 2-degree Celsius increase, citing that exceeding the threshold would put the world in a “danger limit for global warming.”
February’s stats are pushing extremely close to that limit.
“This is a very worrying result,” said Bob Ward, policy director at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change at the London School of Economics, noting that each of the last five months globally have been hotter than any month preceding them.

Professor Gavin Schmidt, director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) tweeted this in response to the February record:
So, is this prophetic?
In the Last Days, the earth will dry up, wither, and be exposed to extreme heat (Isaiah 24:4; Isaiah 24:6; Revelation 16:8-9). As we get closer to the End Times, heat and drought will naturally increase.
My Friend, you do not have to be present during the worst of this climate change. You can escape all these things.
Be sure to tune in for more prophetic updates. As always, be blessed!
